The successful business history of the Víquez family in Costa Rica covers more than 70 years in which this group of business people has participated in several activities: agriculture, cattle breeding, tourism, construction of housing projects and more recently the administration of free zones.
For a long time the Víquez family has created and consolidated a business name that is renown in the country, obtaining the Triple A score that is granted by the National Bank of Costa Rica as an award for its best clients. In 1993 one of the most outstanding projects took place. The Los Arallanes Corporation Sociedad Anonima started the construction of a housing project called "Residencial Bariloche", located in San Lorenzo de Flores, in the province of Heredia.
All the experience gathered along these years has been put into the America Free Zone project.
With the objective of increasing the economic activities and to offer a different, high quality alternative to the existing free zones, the Los Arallanes Corporation S. A. asked PROCOMER (Foreign Trade Office of Costa Rica) for the license to create the free zone.
The license was granted on February 1999, and immediately operations started giving America Free Zone the best infrastructure and technology, so that you can have, in our country, the best opportunity to invest.
